Historically the
land to the North East of the existing dwelling was designated
as a building plot, which was purchased to form part of the existing
large garden. This proposal seeks to establish the garden to
the North East of the existing dwelling as an independent plot
with a new dwelling |
The external form
of the building is articulated to break down the mass of the building
externally and to form a strong relationship between the interior
of the dwelling and the garden |

The proposed dwelling is primarily
orientated to the North West, towards a garden lined to the North
West with an existing tree belt. The study and the kitchen are orientated to the South West boundary. High level glazing orientated to the South West will bring daylight and fresh air into the core of the dwelling. |
